These earrings incorporate local pieces of red seaweed washed up on the beach after a big storm.
They have been washed, pressed for many weeks and are secured by hammered copper which I stripped from waste electrical cables. The handmade ear hooks are also made from copper showcasing little glass beads.
Seaweed is strong and a wonderful product to work with! It’s wild and wonderful and the earrings reflect this. They are not exactly the same. slightly different lengths and shapes… all part of the charm.
