A good luck charm :)
The tradition of hiding a sixpence in the Christmas pudding dates back to Victorian times. Families would eagerly look forward to this festive ritual, where whoever found the coin in their slice of pudding was believed to have good luck for the coming year.
These coins were finally decommissioned in 1980.
The sixpence has been hung on a recycled sterling silver necklace, 18"/45cm. An eco friendly gift that will arrive in a smart recycled gift box. Various years available (the picture is representative).
Please note, all my old coins may show signs of wear which is all part of the charm.
